Copper fleece is a polyamide textile metallised with pure copper. It is a tape with a self-adhesive layer. Protexus is ideal for fixing on all smooth surfaces that come into contact with many people. Copper shortens the lifetime of viruses and bacteria. This has been proven several times in international studies. An American study has shown that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is also inactivated within a very short time. Due to the properties of copper, hospitals also use door handles made of this material. An independent study by the manufacturer Statex has proven that our copper fleece tape Protexus has a significant antiviral, antibacterial effect.

You can use the Protexus fleece on all smooth and metallic surfaces. We do not recommend using it on other textiles. Please keep the copper fleece tape away from electrics, as it has highly conductive properties.

Examples of use: Door handles, window handles, handrails, shopping trolleys etc.

• Prepare the surface by removing oil, grease and dust residues. The surface must be dry and free of dirt to ensure better adhesion.
• Carefully remove the backing material. It can be easily removed. You can also easily cut the Protexus copper tape to size if necessary.
• Position the sticker in the middle of the surface and guide it evenly around so that the leading and trailing edges meet or minimally overlap. Stroke with your fingers from the middle outwards to remove any air bubbles. This will also ensure that the copper tape sticks to the entire surface.

Regularly clean the Protexus copper fleece from surface dirt with a soft brush. In order to ensure optimum antiviral effectiveness, we recommend replacing with a new tape in the case of soiling that cannot be removed. Discoloration may occur due to natural oxidation.

Stratex polyamide and polyester textiles are made with pure copper. A significant reduction in the survival time of fungi, bacteria and viruses on copper has been demonstrated in various international studies. Permanent skin contact is not recommended due to the increased release of copper ions by Protexus – Copper Tape. We continue to recommend thorough hand washing, as the copper tape is only a supplementary measure and does not replace hygiene measures.)

With the Protexus – Copper fleece you have an easy way to protect your customers and employees. Surfaces, which are covered with the copper tape, need less often up to no disinfection. This saves you expensive cleaning supplies.

The copper fleece Protexus can be removed from most surfaces without leaving any residue. In case of very heavy soiling, we recommend replacement with a new tape for the optimal antiviral effect.
